About the Programme

Copenhagen is not just a beautiful city, it is one of the world’s most deliberate experiments in human-centred design. From its public services to its private enterprises, Denmark has built a culture where the quality of the experience is considered inseparable from the quality of the service itself. This is not accidental. It is the result of decades of investment in design thinking, inclusive policy, and a relentless focus on what it feels like to be served.

This 5-day Learning Expedition invites a group of senior professionals to step outside their usual environment and immerse themselves in the organisations, institutions, and places that have made Copenhagen a global benchmark for service excellence. Through curated site visits, expert speaker sessions, facilitated workshops, and genuine moments of discovery, participants will return with a richer understanding of what world-class service looks like, and how it is built.

The programme is designed and facilitated by Innovation Is Everywhere, specialists in immersive learning expeditions for leaders and teams.

Why Copenhagen

The World's Most Human-Centred City

Denmark consistently ranks among the world's most trusted governments, most satisfied citizens, and most innovative public service ecosystems. Copenhagen is not just a destination – it is a living case study in what happens when an entire society decides to put people first.

Where Public and Private Innovation Converge

The city brings together pioneering government agencies, world-class private companies, and social innovators. In Copenhagen, you can visit a government digital services lab in the morning and a behind-the-scenes tour of a globally iconic experience brand in the afternoon – and the two conversations will feed each other.

A Learning Environment Like No Other

Unlike classroom-based programmes, this expedition puts participants in direct contact with the practitioners reshaping service delivery. Every visit is a real conversation, not a presentation. Every workshop builds on what was seen that day. The learning is immediate, contextual, and memorable.

What You Will Take Away

By the end of this expedition, participants will have:

OBSERVED

how world-class organisations design, operate and continuously improve their service delivery – across the public, private and social sectors

CHALLENGED

their own assumptions about what great service requires, and what prevents it at home

EXPLORED

how digital tools and AI are being integrated into service environments in ways that are human-centred, not dehumanising

DISCOVERED

what it takes to build a genuine culture of service excellence – from leadership mindset to frontline empowerment

RETURNED

with a clear set of insights, observations and ideas ready to share and activate within their own teams
